Self-sufficiency is a trait that an employer might look for. This is a skill that we should teach our children very early on – doing it themselves. We need to allow for autonomy and production. Activity increases our energy flow. The inner energy and power builds with the power of a snowball rolling down the hill. We have all given a homeless person a dollar or loose change. I do it every single day with a smile, a brief conversation and a look in the eye.
But what can we do for someone so that their whole world improves? What kinds of greater gifts can we give? This is a really cool thing because no one really wants charity. You have heard it in the old time movies, “I don’t want no charity.” People are proud but sometimes that pride keeps them right where they are. Without being intrusive, what can we do?
