You are sitting down at the movie theater ready to watch your movie. But before that happens you have to see a number of movie trailers! Well, 20th Century Fox and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was handed a different angle – thanks to Casey Neistat.
The studio told Casey, “We want to run a campaign under the concept, live your dreams. The collective theme of this initiative will be to motivate, inspire and give people a catalyst to do something they have never done. We would like to know if you would be interested in creating a video about living your dreams?”
Casey responded, “Give me the budget. I’ll go the Philippines and spend every penny helping people in need.” 20th Century Fox and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty agreed to spend the entire promotional video budget helping typhoon victims in the Philippines.
In our world today with strong social media, perhaps this creativity will not only help the people of the Philippines, but be shared which, in turn, promotes the movie. It appears to be going viral.
